Coaching Football

Ok, so I said I was going to post more often. I am soo sorry! I am coaching my 10 year old son's tackle football team. I am an assistant coach, the manager of the kids, but I have learned a ton about football! And they are so cute! I have been so busy with that. I haven't made a thing in forever. As school starts back up, I am hoping that will change. I hope all are well!

Thank You Flowers

I know this is a lousy picture! I have got to get a new camera! Anyways, I used my Giga scallop punch to create these flowers. I punched out the chipboard and then the patterned paper, stuck on a TY sticker, used dimensionals to stick the parts together and they were done! The sticks are some I had in my "everything" drawer for BBQ. I just rolled them in green ink. I tried to make the ribbon look like leaves. I put these in the hanging baskets we gave the kids' teachers at the end of the school year. On the back was a white circle with a little note. I should have taken a picture of them in the baskets. They looked really cute.

Graduation!!

I am a professor at our community college. We just had graduation, and it was even more special this year because my nephew was a graduate. This is the card I made for him. Our colors are black and gold. The stamps are Studio G, and the MCC 2009 stickers are from the Dollar Spot at Target. The patterned paper is from my scrap box. The layout is from Paper Craft Planet's Studio G Group. Happy Graduation to all Grads!

Lollipop, Lollipop, Oh Lolly Lollipop.... Lollipop!!!

This card makes me sing that song! It also makes me think of that Toostsie Roll Pop Owl. Anyways, the owls are from Simon Says Stamp and the Lollipop is a Studio G $1 stamp. I drew the tree and there are stickles on the lollies. Have a great day! I hope you won't be singing this tune all day!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge #2: Recycle

Happy Earth Day! This is my first time at the computer today. My boys and I celebrated Earth Day by not putting on any lights, televisions, or playing ANY video games. This was tough for them because it was raining and they are on Spring break from school. We did lots of crafts today and played lots of board games. I made this card for Simon Says Stamp Challenge #2. I used Simon Says Stamps froggies that I just got! I love them! The boat was the flap from an envelope box and the signs the frogs are holding were tags from new shorts I got the other day. The oar is also cut out of one of those tags. The bellies of the frogs are paper pieces from a birthday card my husband got last week. This was fun!

Flutterby Wednesday Challenge and TECC61

This is a card I made as a Thank You for someone special. I tackled the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge and Taylored Expression Cupcake Sketch Challenge 61. I used a stamp I just received from Inkadinkado today for submitting cards for their gallery. This butterfly is so pretty! I used So Saffron, White and Blush cardstock. The patterned paper is from TAC. I used a fiskars punch and my scallop circle punch.

Another painted step stool

Here is another painted step stool. It was a baby shower gift. Orders for these keep pouring in and I am trying to keep up and still stamp! I had a few e-mails asking if I draw all the pictures, and I do. I have to admit I usually copy the bedding or themes from rooms though. This one was all me. They wanted a train and animals! Have a great day!

Mom's Birthday Card/ Flutterby Wednesdays Challenge

This is the card I made for my Mom's birthday. The set I used is Garden Delight by Inkadinkado. Loretta sent me this set as a prize from a swap. It's probably not one I would have purchased, but I love it!! I used light blue CS. I don't know the "fancy" name of it. I should have embossed the butterfly but used black stickles instead. Boy, did my hand hurt from squeezing afterwards! If you've not heard of "Flutter by Wednesdays" then you need to check out Danni's Dreams. Every Wednesday there's a challenge and all you need to do is create a card or project with a butterfly or fairy on it.

I won Blog Candy!!!

I am so excited! It's not very often I win anything. I didn't even get chosen for Grand Jury Duty when they picked 25 out of 30 names out of a box. This time I got very lucky by participating in the Squigglefly Blog Hop. They have really cute digital images.

Visit my generous new friend, Steph at Glitterbabe Greetings - where all things sparkle. She just got news that she has been accepted on another design team with Whimsy Stamps! Congratulations and thank you Steph!

Mike's card!

My six year old loves to make cards with me. Tonight he said, "You should make me a card because I always make them for you!" Well, after I dried my tears, I made him a special card, and this is it. One of Mike's most favorite things to eat is ice cream. His favorites are chocolate with marshmallow and vanilla. Ice cream just isn't ice cream to him without sprinkles, so out came the multi-colored microbeads I have. They are now sprinkled all over my craft table too. They were perfect were sprinkles. The pattern paper is DCWV. I used a ice cream cone stamp I got at Michael's for $1. I taped off the You're Sweet sentiment; little boys don't really appreciate that. The dew drops are from my friend, Chris. The word Mike is made of stickers I had. He loves it!

Pretty Big Blossom

This is a card I made for a swap. I love this Big Blossom by SU! Pinks and browns are always fun too. The flower is embossed with glitter. The papers are all from my scraps. I'm trying to use them up!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

I'm baaack! I have been in a funk, and the Simon Says Stamp Challenge has brought me out of it. The challenge was to use Heidi's favorite colors, green and yellow. I love green and yellow too, so this was easy. I used Old Olive, Barely Banana, and Really Rust cardstock. The patterned paper is from my stash. The bows I got on clearance at Joann's forever ago. The cute little skunk is by TAC and the sentiment is SU!

Last Minute Valentines

I have been so busy with work and being the Registration Director of our sons' football program, I haven't had time to make Valentines. My boys had a friend sleepover tonight, so I was able to just in time. My boys now request what they want their cards to include. Mikey asked for a penguin and a monkey on his while Tommy asked for a penguin and snow. Frank...he could care less what is on his.

For Mikey's card I used a changito monkey and a penguin from Inkadinkado with Really Red paper and TAC pattern paper. For Tommy's I used the same Inkadinkado penguin with a snowflake cuttlebugges background that didn't show up very well. They both have stickles all over them for snow. I used a dollar set for Frank's. It's simple, but it is very Frank. I hope you all got your valentine's made way before I did!

Baby Shower Card

This card took me forever to make. I made for my neighbor's baby shower. We made her invitations, so the polka dot paper is from that. Their theme is animals, and I had these cute stickers. I never use stickers, but I kind of liked it. It took so long because I wanted all the colors to match perfectly. I used DCWV glitter paper, certainly celery, barely banana, and almost amethyst CS. The ribbon is from the shower invite. The drops are from my friend Chris. The stickers are by Sandy Lion, I think. Th one thing I stamped is from a Studio G Dollar set.

New Things to Show!

I really have been crafting. This is a card I made for a neighbor who had a grandmother pass away. I used Bordering Blue and Apricot CS, Inkadinkado Butterfly stamp heat embossed on vellum. Then I sponged Bordering Blue on top of the butterfly. I used my old scalloped scissors to cut the edge of the vellum and added teeny tiny pearls I had in my embellishment box. The ribbon is from a scrap bag.

I was tagged

I was tagged. The challenge was to go into your picture files and choose the 6th folder and the 6th picture. This picture is of one of the many frog or toad friends we made this summer. My boys love animals, so we have to scoop them and study them for awhile. I am supposed to tag others to take on this challenge, but I am soooo tired right now. I will tag others soon, but feel free to consider yourself tagged and play along!

Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Card

This card is for Mandy's sketch at Limelight Papercrafts. The tricky part was the requirement to use textured items. I immediately thought of some Paper Bouquet paper I bought a year ago at Target. I came flocked already. It is like velvet flock. It is so soft. That got me thinking about other textures. I pulled out soft, satiny ribbon and DCWV glitter cardstock. The glitter CS is really rough, so I think it should count as a texture. I used my Giga scallop circle punch and Mega circle for the focal point. The heart stamp is by Studio G and so is the sentiment. The flower on the textured white piece is from an SU! set. After adding some crystals and Diamond stickles, I adhered my creation to the black base. I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you enjoy it as well.

New stamps!

I love dollar stamps that you can find in the checkout line at craft stores. My kids gave me these two stamps for Christmas. I just love them! They are both by Inkadinkado and stamp beautifully. I used a bunch of stickles and my CB folders, swiss dots and divine swirls. I got a few new ones I can't wait to use! I was on a perfect plum kick, but I think that color is very elegant. It is snowing like crazy here today! Stay warm and cozy wherever you are!

Don't forget to check out Simon Says Stamp for an amazing variety of stamps and fun stuff and great BLOG CANDY too!

Here's what I have been up to....

I have been stamping, but our camera is possessed. These are two quick thank yous. The first is a set from Michael's for my son, Tommy. He works so hard at basketball! The second is a thank you to Heather for the fabulous gift card she sent me. It looks MUCH better in person. There is fun flock on the snowman and I used my nesties to emboss a frame. I have more to show you, but I am having trouble with my camera.
